Ask mom: Depends what it is. If mom has same thing ask her. Wear clothes that are loose in the thigh, that might help.

Maybe not:: If you have fever, chills, or feel very sick, you may need to see urgent care before Monday.  If not, you may try cleaning with warm soap and water.  Apply an antibacterial ointment or cream a few times daily.  Use warm compresses every 2 hours while awake.  An over the counter pain reliever can also be used.  You can continue this self-care until Monday when your doctor's office is open again.

: Giant epidermoid cysts and boil are. known to occur on thigh. Do not force a cyst to rupture by squeezing or piercing it. Avoid touching, picking or pressing it. Apply Antibiotic cream  and cover with sterile gauze. It will reduce recurring cysts. Blackheads could be due to tight clothes, not cleaning properly or using oil bared skin products. Hope it helps.

Cyst: this requires evaluation by a physician. It will likely need drainage and antibiotics. Do not delay.

Cyst: Could be not fully drained.  Look up loculated cyst. It has many internal compartments. That is a possibility. He should go see his local surgeon and may have to have it drained and packed.

i had a cyst on my inner thigh opened and drained about 2 months ago. im starting to experience the same symptoms i got before and i think its coming back. should i go in and get it seen right away? its not as bad as it was last time

From your story: I would guess that the original surgery DRAINED the cyst but did not remove the cyst itself. (This is often done in cases of infected cysts) A second surgery will remove it completely.

Skin infections: Pus filled bumps on the skin are usually the symptom of a skin infection.  When they become red, warm to touch and painful it is called cellulitis.  Treatment of this includes oral antibiotics and occassionally drainage.  See your doctor, because resistant infections are becoming more common and require special treatment.
