: What to you mean by "cut"? If you were injured at that site, that's probably the cause. If you have a genital ulcer -- i.e. an open sore -- herpes may be possible. See a doctor or clinic ASAP:  herpes diagnosis is much easier and more accurate if a lesion is no more than a few days old. A single genital ulcer also is typical for syphilis.
