been using fluticasone propionate daily since june. is that bad? only thing that helps my nasal airways from allergies that causes asthma.

It's Ok: The main recommend treatment for allergic rhinitis (runny nose) is the use of nasal steroids. The steroid has minimal absorption into your blood stream. Main side effect noted in some is dryness and nose bleeds. Consider using nasal saline spray to clear the nose frequently and to keep the skin hydrated. Try a nasal saline wash each evening to rid your nose of the day's pollen.

Singular: Adding zyrtec or Another nasal steroid to antihistamine or nasal steroid that you already have will not improve symptoms.Adding singular may help but after Flonase likely will improve only minimally.Likely will need to see Allergist to get tested to what is causing Allergies is the option that is best.

They are related: Steroid nasal sprays are often used to treat allergic rhinitis.  People with allergic rhinitis often have or may progress to asthma.  If you have asthma, just treating for allergies usually isn't enough.

No: These meds will not increase the platelet count. The levels you describe are normal to very mildly elevated and are not an issue.

Has potential: This is a corticosteroid which although given topically may be absorbed to varying extents and systemic side-effects of steroids are numerous, including adrenal insufficiency when stopped, diabetes, immunosuppression, osteoporosis, and others, but these are infrequent complications of this therapy.

Up to 75 bucks: As it is generic many of my patients pay a 5 dollar copay.  Out of pocket i'm pretty sure the most you would pay is 75 dollars for a bottle that would last a month.
