Should be seen: The most common rash for a 1 month old infant is newborn acne, which is a benign rash, which will resolve in a couple of weeks without treatment. However, there are other rashes that could be more serious, so you should have your baby's doctor examine the rash.

Maybe: First avoid all fragrance. Then test to individual fragrance by applying test spot behind ear and observe reaction for 1 day. This will help avoid sensitizing chemicals.

Fragrance mixes: .. commonly cause sensitization and so you are right to question this.  Do you notice improvement if you avoid use?  As a first step, make sure the problem doesn't stem from skin dryness (moisturize aggressively with fragrance free emollients such as Vanicream, Eucerin or CeraVe). If problem persists, consider seeing an Allergist for more thorough investigation possibly with sensitivity testing.

Yes: But are you sure it is a heat rash? Why use oil on a heat rash? Ask your pediatrician to evaluate. Eczema? Seborrheic dermatitis? Other?

Pregnancy: can make you more sensitive to chemicals.  If gets worse with a rash, you should see your doctor to be sure. Using antihistamines, such as benadryl or zyrtec, may help.
