No: It is not uncommon to get cramping on either side or in the midline after sex when you are pregnant.  Seminal fluid has prostaglandins which cause the cramping.

Pregnancy test: To interpret a pregnancy test compare your results to the package instruction contained in the box for the brand you purchased. It will have a drawing of a positive test and a negative test specific to that brand. Pelvic pain is very complex and an examination will  be needed to determine the cause and treatment.

This varies: Cramping in pregnancy has different causes at different times in the pregnancy. In the first trimester cramping is usually due to the uterus stretching. Braxton-Hicks contractions (false labor) can cause cramping in the third trimester.Changes in calcium needs can also cause cramping which is usually in the legs. Hope this helps.

Rest and hydrate: Some cramping is normal due to the stretching of the growing uterus.You don't mention how far along you are but usually rest and hydration will help.If you are in the 3rd trimester, these may be Braxton-Hicks contractions which are like practice contractions.Theonly way to tell them from labor is to see that they don't change your cervix.
