Officially no: Many things are "possible" in life. So, the real question is, "How likely is it to happen?" The chances of catching HepC by kissing is perhaps 0%, mathematically rounded off. HepC virus is in the blood. If a HepC person has some cracks or scrapes on the lips or inside the mouth, any canker sores, or any bleeding gums, then HepC can be in the mouth... probably more so if kissing is very vigorous.

No risk, no worries: Hepatitis C virus (HCV) is only transmitted by blood contact. Without blood exposure, household members of persons with HCV are not at risk. Even sex, although often said to be risky, almost never transmits the virus except with traumatic anal sex. Kissing, hugging, and sharing bathrooms, kitchens, or eating utensils are entirely free of risk. So no worries! Good luck.

Family practice : Hep c and HIV is not contacted from sharing glasses. Needs blood or body secretion exposure. Hep c is treated by interferon injections which is 50 percent effective. Hiv has no cure. You may take a combination of medications which can suppress it.

No.: hepatitis C is only transmitted through direct blood contact. Most of the time this is either from injections of illicit drugs or through blood transfusions. You can not get it from casual contact on shoes or hands. If you feel that you are concerned about hepatitis C, see your doctor for some simple tests.
