i have a kidney infection, and i am taking meds as told and improving. it now hurts to poop and i am constipated and it comes out in pellets. why?

Unusual: Antibiotics for kidney infection usually cause diarrhea, so you have a very unusual symptoms. It may be because you are dehydrated from the fever associated with the infection. 
Rarely antibiotics can cause constipation but it usually resolves with a high fiber diet, say increase fruit in your diet or a gentle laxative such as bisacodyl, dulcolax.

The Bactrim (sulfamethoxazole and trimethoprim): Bloating is a common side effect of antibiotics, including Bactrim (sulfamethoxazole and trimethoprim).  Constipation, diarrhea or both (alternating) are also possible.  The duration of this effect is difficult to predict.  The most likely mechanism is the antibiotic effect of normal gut microbiota and subsequent recolonization.

Not really : Not that i know of.  However, chest burning is not only due to a disease in the chest.  For example, reflux of gastric contents, can cause these symptoms.  Also if you were treated with antibiotics, some may cause other symptoms.  Speak with your local physician about these symptoms.

Its certainly poss--: Ible. An infected kidney can burst and cause the infection to spread around the local muscles there as well as the nearby nerves can get irritated. This will result in groin pain/swelling and leg pains. Its been well described in the literature.

: Delay in treatment of a documented "kidney infection" by "3 days" should not result in adverse effects on the kidney(s).  Many people mislabel a simple urinary tract infection for a "kidney infection".  A true "kidney infection" will have more defined symptoms and lab work will be usually abnormal.

i'm hospitalized for kidney infection, and on oxygen as blood saturation is around 80, normally 97-99. could my infection or complications cause this?

Sounds like: Severe vitamin b1 deficiency. This vitamin has an important part in picking up oxygen from the lung and delivering it to the tissues. Ask for a venous oxygen level and if it is high, it means that oxidation (use of oxygen by the tissues) is also poor and is characteristic of b1 def.

Kidney infections: The cause of kidney infections is generally by two different routes.  1) an ascending infection that arises from the lower urinary tract (bladder, ureters) or 2) hematogenous spread, directly from bacteria that are within the bloodstream.  I am not aware of any reason why drinking liquor could cause kidney infections.
