Rsv: Well the only way to tell if it is RSV is test for it they do have rapid test for RSV and strains of the flu. Testing all depends on the clinical course your sons illness is having.

Maybe, maybe not: Some of these symptoms are seen with pneumonia, such as cough, chest congestion, etc, but they may be seen with other problems such as bronchitis or asthma exacerbation. A normal chest xray is a factor against pneumonia but is not always 100% accurate.  The best approach would be to discuss the situation with ones doctor and determine if there is an infection or non infectious lung issue.

Options : You have a complicated list of symptoms. These symptoms could be present from either a bacterial or a viral infection. If your chest x-ray was read normal it is unlikely that you have pneumonia. Sometimes sinus disease or a viral bronchitis can persist for a long time. It is probably most prudent to follow up with the doctor that has prescribed antibiotics and review your symptoms with them.

Maybe: It warrants an evaluation by a physician as these symptoms are consistent with pneumonia but not specific to it. Whether a chest xray is needed depends on additional info, other symptoms, fever, physical exam findings etc.

Not usually: Most allergy-related symptoms are sneezing, dry cough, watery eyes, itchy eyes or throat.  If you have an asthma component to your allergies, you can get wheezy or be short of breath.  A nasal steroid can be very helpful in treatment and prevention of symptoms since it works right where your body reacts to the antigen. Non-sedating anti-histamines are helpful if steroid spray alone won't do it!

Chest congestion: The symptoms you describe suggest that you may have a viral or bacterial upper respritory infection which may be accompanied by sinusitis and or bronchitis, you need to be evaluated by you physician, who will examine you and determine the choice of treatment, you will need decogestants with cogh medicine and you may or may not need antibiotics, it can also be complicated with pneumonia, so see your md.

Mgt: Most episodes of bronchitis are caused by viruses which can also trigger wheezing. 
If you are wheezing, an inhaler called Albuterol is indicated. You may also need to take another medication such as an inhaled steroid, and/or an anti histamine. I would suggest a follow up with your doctor. In the meantime, rest, stay well hydrated, and monitor your temperature.
