i had a fungal infc.  i used cortisone cream then i got a white patch , how can i know that if this vitiligo or just a side effect of the cream?

Hypopigmentation: After a skin inflammation area or dermatitis lesion due to any reason is resolved, it will look lighter than the surrounding normal skin area. It is likely due to suppression or death of the local pigmented cells in the process. The white patch is more pronounced if you have dark complexion or expose to sunlight. It will gradually fade away. It might take many months or longer.

i was wondering what are the side effects of cortisone cream for a baby with severe facial excema?

Relatively safe: Cortisone creams can be used to treat the inflammation associated with facial eczema in a baby.  Problems arise (scarring, atrophy , telangiectasia, etc) with prolonged use - greater than 3+ consecutive weeks at a time.  Make sure there is a dermatologist involved in the management of the severe facial eczema that you report to make sure that the best treatment is being applied.

Headache: This symptom is not usual from a cortisone shot - but the experience could have been stressful and this may be a stress headache - cortisone can elevate BP a bit, but not fast. Place cold wash cloth on your head - recline, relax - may take tylenol (acetaminophen).

Cortisone urinary fr: In some people who are prediabetics high doses of cortisone can cause diabetes and that can cause polyurea and in return may cause night time frequency.But it is not a direct effect of cortisone and is not so common.

Overuse of...: ...Cortisone creams can cause  thinning of the skin, which sometimes results in permanent stretch marks. Fine blood vessels may swell and become prominent under the skin surface. In rare cases enough cortisone might be absorbed internally to cause growth suppression or adrenal gland suppression. That's why dermatologists use only the mildest steroid creams on babies, and monitor them closely.
