That's easy.....: The hiatAL hernia &amp; the ulcer pain are in 2 different places altogether for starters.  The hiatal hernia involves the uppermost part of the stomach and is associated with a lot of acid reflux in the esophagus.  Ulcer pains are either in the body of the stomach (usually lower down) or in the duodenum.  Pain associated there is usually sharp, intense, no associated too much with reflux but with meal

Ulcer: Often associated with some type of virus. However, if you are having recurrence and worsening probably time to get checked.

Generally so: These are focal deposits of growing bacteria on the surface of the cornea.  The eye reacts strongly, gets very red and painful and usually is quite light sensitive.  The vision almost always drops.  Most come from contact lens wear problems.  Remove your lens and see your ophthalmologist right away.

Ulcer: You will need at least one potent antibiotic eyedrop to treat this.  Stop wearing your contacts until this heals.  See your eye doctor daily until better.

Pain, redness,: Corneal ulcer is a growth of bacteria on the surface of the cornea, most commonly due to problems with contact lenses.  The eye gets red, painful, light sensitive,  with discharge and the vision is commonly affected.  If you have a magnifying mirror you can probably see a white spot on the cornea.  Remove the contact and see an ophthalmologist as soon as you can arrange.

Few days-wk: If it is a traumatic ulcer from direct trauma 2 the cornea and not infective, i would add tobramycin/stearoid oint and patch over nite.

Then tobra/stearoid 4-5x/day. Oint and patch @ nite.

Continue untill gone, stop patch when feels good but oint @ nite.

B sure to have opthalmology look at it before rx

his/her rx may be different than mine.

Several days: If the ulcer is being properly treated with antibiotics, then your ulcer should rapidly heal.  Keep the contact lens out during this time.  I assume you are being monitored by an ophthalmologist.

Not good: A corneal ulcer is a patch of bacterial growth on the surface of the eye, most commonly underneath a contact lens which makes a terrific incubation chamber.  If you suspect this, take out the lens and see your ophthalmologist right away as you will need antibiotics and follow up.
