I think: I think it's two pills and repeat in 12 hours but google emergency oral contraception and don't pat too much attention to pill type, they all work close to the same.  If yours is very low dose throw in another gor good luck.

Yes, but a better : Plan is regular contraception. The "ohmygosh" we need Plan B is a terrible plan. Be good to yourself.

By : By the date of this post 4 days have passed therefore i will advise you for the future. You should not stop using your NuvaRing if you plan to take a Plan B emergency contraception pill. 
Lastly if you want the NuvaRing to be effective you have to insert it at the approriate time. Consider creative ways to remind yourself when it needs to be inserted.

It depends: It depends.  Certain birth control pills containing the correct hormones can be used in place of Plan B (the morning after pill).  The difference in using regular birth control is the number of tablets you have to take, which varies depending on which birth control pill you have.

No : If you are using birth control already the "morning after pill" should not be needed.  If you have not been using your birth control method properly, then the "morning after pill" may still be a good idea.

To cover yourself?: If you're not taking your birth control pill consistently, you would not be protected from pregnancy.  In that case you might need plan b.  Taking your oral contraceptive pills as prescribed will cover you sufficiently, if you're willing to do that.

Ok but why?: Usually the morning after pill is used when a women has not been on the birth control pill.  If the bc pill was not taken correctly - on time every day- then, if one is concerned you could take the morning after pill followed by a restart of your daily bc pill.

Discard expired pill: It is wiser to get rid of "morning after pills which expired about a year ago" and buy others.
 Be safe and continue taking your contraceptive pills more regularly and consider switching to a much more effective and "forgettable" method of preventing pregnancy like an IUD or a subdermal implant. Remember about male or female condoms too.

No: If you were only 6 hours late on each of your 2 missed pills, you are still protected.  I wouldn't recommend a morning after pill in this situation.   Best wishes!
