The negative drug effects on sperm would affect some but not all those created from stem cells &amp; the healthiest unaffected fellows would swim better &amp; are more likely to do the deed. Women are not that lucky, anything they inhale/ingest can cause problems in her eggs or a fetus. No research clears marijuana in either case or alcohol.

Not likely: I am not aware of any gene that selects for generalized sinus tachycardia. I am familiar with clusters of atrial fibrillation that seem famiilial.

Probably not: As an alcoholic (?) you have more than likely developed a severe deficiency of vitamin b1.This will cause you to have an increased activity of the nervous control mechanisms of the heart and possibly the heart itself. Alcohol and b1 deficiency go together. Stop all forms of sugar and get plenty of rest. See your doctor for instructions  on b1.Lyou will need other vitamins as well.

Alcohol and SVT: Alcohol is known to damage the conduction system of the heart and cause all kinds of arrythmia. Svt is caused by an anomaly of that system. Alcohol surely unavoidably aggravates  that anomaly, besides turning the heart muscle into a mass of jello that has no strength to pump blood properly (reduced ejection fraction). No alcohol abuse. Period !

: How do you know it was sinus tachycardia and not paroxsysmal atrial fibrillation or other tachyarrhythmia without an EKG.or being on a heart monitor at the time of your symptoms? The associated presyncope makes me think it wasn't simple sinus tachycardia which usually is caused by factors like anxiety,fever,etc. Should you experience another such episode look into it with a cardiologist&amp;monitor
