Not recommended: Bleach is a toxic substance and should not be ingested or breath in. Use saline nasal irrigation instead. Go to urgent care if you are not feeling well.

: It is likely that you were suffering from a viral upper respiratory infection. It is possible that it could even be from influenza or Covid. I would see an urgent care doctor or your primary care doctor to get tested. In the meantime, stay hydrated and try to avoid contact with others to avoid spreading the illness. Sweet smell: Rarely hear this, usually people complain of bad smell. You had a recent low blood sugar, you should keep monitoring your blood sugar. Try stopping all fragrant soaps and body lotions and all unnecessary supplements and see if it goes away.

Sinus infection?: It sounds like you may have a sinus infection. Try using nasal saline several times a day or using a neti pot. Decongestants may also help or antihistamines if you think this may be related to allergies. If it persists for more than 3 weeks then see a doctor since you may have an infection requiring antibiotics. I hope you are feeling better soon.

Need more info: False odors can be due to injury of the olefactory (smell) nerves in the nose that can follow a severe viral nasal infection, injury to the nerve such as following a head injury, sinus infection, or rarely a frontal brain tumor.  See ENT doctor if persistent.

Inflammation: Allergies or viral illnesses will cause you to need to blow your nose a lot.  They can also cause inflammation that will affect your sense of smell.  Viral illness will likely go away within 10 days, but can cause long lasting damage to your smell (not common).  Allergies may need medical treatment with tablets or nasal sprays.  See a doctor if the small does not return after other symptoms resolv.
