Chlamydia , women!: There is a higher rate of infection in single females than males! chlamydia is found in 25-28% of single females, and is two-three percent lower in males. This is a national tragedy, because of long term consequences! treatment is simple, but partner's must be simultaneously treated. Best advice; fewer sexual partners: know your partner; and always have the male wear a condom.

Trichomoniasis: Symptoms include inflammation of the cervix, urethra, and vagina which produce an itching or burning sensation. Discomfort may increase during intercourse and urination. There may also be a yellow-green, itchy, frothy, foul-smelling ("fishy" smell) vaginal discharge. Men are very seldom symptomatic. It is very common.

This happens a lot: 1) STDs are not always transmitted. If one partner has chlamydia, the transmission chance is ~50% for unprotected vaginal sex, so after 1 exposure, only half of partners will catch it. 2) Spontaneous cure in one person before being tested. 3) Partner got treated and didn&#x27;t admit it. 4) Test missed it; chlamydia tests miss 5-10% of infections. 5) Some people may be immune after past infection.

Pain with urination: Men with chlamydia may have pain with urination and a mucousy or watery discharge from their penis (urethritis).  They could also have testicular pain, swelling or tenderness (on one side) (epididymitis).  A man with rectal chlamydia could have bleeding, discharge or rectal pain. I am not aware of complete inability to urinate as a symptom.
