See below: It is ok to take a cold shower especially if you currently have a fever. It will help reduce the fever if it is too high. However, the goal is not to get rid of the fever. Fever is simply a physiologic response to something wrong happening in you (infection). It also won't treat/cure the infection or whatever else is causing the fever. But it won't hurt.
