Cold Meds Not Cause: Cold medications would not cause a positive urine drug test.  Do you use medicinal marijuana? If yes, is it from a dispensary or from "the street"? If it's from the street then it may be contaminated by cocaine. Otherwise exposure to cocaine would be the only other reason.

Acute or chronic?: On cocaine, users are "full speed ahead". Some are funny, grandiose & do things fast, others get agitated & at times paranoid or delusional. In either case judgement & insight are impaired. 24 to 48 hrs after last hit, depression and suicidal thought or acts can occur. Chronic use leads to moodiness, irritability, lost work, serious money problems, loss of relationships, poor health & self care.

Coke is no Joke: Unfortunately, the answer is yes and so is the possibility of death from overdose.  Anyone considering experimentation with this drug should seriously reconsider and stop!  in some succeptible individuals receptors in the brain (as with nicotine) can cause addiction relatively quickly after use.  The physical need is surpassed by the psychological need and your hooked.  Be kind to your mind!

Cocaine: Blood tests can show Cocaine itself for about 12 hours after use. Urine tests check for metabolic byproducts of cocaine.  In infrequent users a urine test is positive for up to 3 days after Cocaine use. However, in those who use Cocaine regularly, a urine test may be positive for 2 weeks after using. Hair samples can show Cocaine for several months after using.  Best to stay away from using!

Short half life: Cocaine has a short half-life in the body of about 1 hour, which means that by 8 hours the body has probably metabolised most of it. However if cocaine is used often, the metabolism can slow and it can remain in the system for longer.
It is never a wise idea to mix opiate drugs like suboxone with recreational drugs, as this can cause death (see: numerous dead celebrities). Wait longer to be safe.

About 4-7 days: Benzoylecgonine is the metabolite for which the screening test is checking. Avoid use of caffeine and alcohol as these tend to delay metabolism and excretion of cocaine. You should be clear after 4-7 days with one time use. Keep in mind that there have been deaths associated with cocaine use ie heart attack and stroke.
