my 3 & 6 yr olds both got some red bumps on stomach and slowly spread to chest and arms and face. they do not become blisters. they also don't itch.

Should see a derm: Either a type of eczema, or possibly a type of wart called molluscum, which seems most likely.A dermatologist should be able to sort out.

Abdominal rash: Rashes are notoriously difficult to diagnose without being seen. Have pediatrician exam the child. May be simple prickly heat rash, diaper rash, viral illness, or any number of causes. Keep child comfortable with infant's tylenol (acetaminophen) if fever over 101?f & keep well hydrated with fluids.

Not that smart: I can tell you what they're not but not what they are. They are not hives. Hives itch. With rashes a picture is worth a 1000 words. Please see an experienced clinician - that is someone who has seen a lot of rashes - the diagnosis is often obvious with a single look. What could it be? Viral infection, insect bites, drug reaction - to name a few.
