Sleep: Taking too many meds is never a good idea.
That said, you need to clarify this with your doctor.

i took 2 mg klonopin (clonazepam) and 18 mg of melatonin not knowing i wasn't supposed to mix the two. is there a chance i won't wake up?  i'm worried :(

: I would only expect a minor interaction with the low dose of klonopin., the reaction being possibly  only a sounder night's sleep. In other words I don't think you're in any danger or need to do anything at this time. If you're still concerned &amp; have a partner living with you ask him or her to awaken you during the night if you're in a very sound sleep.

3 mg melatonin/1 mg klonopin (clonazepam) dangers. crazy anxiet with melatonin so i grabbed  klon but 1 mg instead of .5. im very nervous that i wont wake up?

Extra Klonopin (clonazepam): It is unlikely that increasing the dose to 1 mg will induce a coma.  I would caution you to only take medication as directed in the future.

Checking on you: Alert someone you live with about what is going on. If you live alone, invite someone over to stay with you. It is important to monitor your breathing. If your breathing becomes too depressed, you could lose consciousness. Have  that person check on your breathing periodically to make sure you are OK

Don't take same day: The problem with taking this particular combination of meds is that they are both sedatives. Taking them in an overlapping manner may cause severe depression of breathing and difficulty awakening, especially if these are new prescriptions that you have not been taking for a while. Avoid taking them at the same time in order to prevent any serious problems.

My opinion -: yes. Would recommend sublingual or slow release melatonin as it can be broken down in the stomach.

Melatonin 5mg: Melatonin is available over the counter in many different dosages.  There is no standard dosage, however I usually recommend starting with 5mg for an adult dosage.  You could go up to 10mg but above 10mg there is not usually much more benefit.  I'm glad to hear that you are tapering the clonazepam.  I'm always a fan of discontinuing regular use of it because it works best when taken only as needed

Vit D very safe: Yes, that high dose of vitamin D (50,000 IU) is often used weekly for up to 12 weeks to quickly replenish someone's vitamin D that is low. It has no noticeable side effects and doesn't interact with the medications you mentioned. No worries.

Klonopin (clonazepam) wean: Melatonin plus tofranil (imipramine) (a tricyclic antidepressant) have been used while gradually tapering the benzodiazepine.

Melatonin plus: It is safe to add melatonin to klonopin (clonazepam) if your doctor has advised klonopin (clonazepam).
