clearblue digital test is always negative but when taking it apart the strips have 2 faint lines. why is this. im not testing early as i would be 9wks?

Blood test: You need to follow the instructions for the test carefully, including the time within which the result should be read. If you have doubts about the veracity of the test, you should get a blood test for HCG level which would settle the issue.
For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, low fat milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. 
Practice safe sex. 
Get HPV vaccine.

Could be ovulating: The Clearblue monitor is looking at hormone changes and is trying to predict ovulation.  You can have false positives.  The BBT also helps you but it is hard to do and again has false negatives.  The combination of both is re assuring but not having a temperature rise and a positive Clearblue could mean you are ovulating.

Home Tests: To be available in the U.S. These kind of products have to be significantly sensitive and accurate.  Five positive tests mean that it is statistically impossible for them to all be  false. You are pregnant.

Day 12...: Its not helpful (and sometimes confusing) to continue testing after the ovulation test goes positive.  What you need to know is the day it first tests positive.  You will generally ovulate within 12-48 hours after that happens.  The best time to "try" for pregnancy is the night it goes positive and the next night.  Best wishes!

May be false positiv: A normal ovulation will not happen on cycle day 5 or 6 (assuming  you are counting day #1 as the first day of menstrual bleeding). Occasionally an ovulation predictor kit will be inaccurate because of other hormonal problems. Your doctor may order a Progesterone blood test around cycle day 21 to help determine if ovulation truly happened.

Yes to ovulation: Ovulation is a series of events and not just a single point in time.  The initiating event is a sharp upward spike in LH levels (that's what the OPK measures).  It's okay if the signal is negative the following day.  The process has started and you have a chance to conceive.

Unlikely: Need not test more than once a day.  If you do not test every day from before you expect to be most fertile, you may miss the surge. Likewise, if you test too late, you may miss the surge. Also, it may not be possible to tell if you are about to ovulate or if you just ovulated since you will have increased lh in both cases. Usually, though, the positive OPK means that you are about to ovulate.

Their website also had instructions listed. Once you have a positive test then this means the LH hormone is high indicating ovulation in the next 24-36 hours.
