can i possibly test positive for something? i was told i had a plus 1 on my drug test and it would be sent to the lab. i do not do any drugs besides take claritin-d 24 hour.

Accepted Answer

Once the results: return - you can determine if the rerun test showed anything. Some things can cause false positives on drug screen panels. But you will need to see what it was positive for before you can see if that might be the cause.

is it ok for me to start benzonatate 100mg. if i took claritin d 24 hr and zzzquil a day ago?

: Claritin &amp; zzzquil are both antihistamines and taking them together is superfluous. benzotenate is not an antihistamine and can be taken with either of the two.  It is taken to suppress a dry,hacking cough but not if you're coughing up large quantities of sputum.

i took xyzal (levocetirizine) 14 hours ago.  it wasn't working so i took a claritin d 12-hour.  is this dangerous?

No: But caution if  you become  drowsy, don't drive, and if you have high blood pressure and use claritin-d

i took claritin d about a few hours ago and it made me have an anxiety attack now i want to take hydroxyzine for my anxiety how would it effect me?

: Hydroxyzine is also an antihistamine with sedating properties. The potential side effects taking both together could be excessive dryness-especially nose/mouth as well as constipation. Claritin is non-sedating so the combination would not cause excessive sedation. Good luck!

can claritin-d cause you to have a rapid heart rate?

Not usually: Claritin (loratadine)-d can cause elevated BP in those who already suffer from hypertension.  Claritin (loratadine) can cause arrhythmias (disorders of heart rhythm) and so can the "d" part, pseudoephedrine.  If you have hypertension or heart problems, you should stay away from most decongestants, most people can use antihistamines such as plain Claritin (loratadine) safely however.

how do you know if numbness in arm and face are lingering effects from having a bad reaction to claritin d?

Unrelated: not a known side effect of either of the drug components, you want to check with your doctor for another reason, which may be simple neuritis (nerve inflammation) can occur after viral infection, best wishes

Four Hours: I would say it is safe to take it after 4 hours of the Dayquil. I hope you are feeling better.

Decongestants: They both contain decongestants and would suggest not taking them together as you may experience side effects . If you have nasal congestion, use nasacort (triamcinolone) aq nasal spray that is now over the counter.

: Read directions and cautions on box or information sheet. Go to drugs.com and enter meds and see what they say.
