Yes: Acute pulpitis  is an inflammation of the nerve or the pulp  inside your tooth if it's just mildly irritated throughout the day when you're active and you're concentrating on everyday activities you may not notice the pain so much but at night when you relax and you're not thinking about everyday decisions minor aches and pains are more noticeable to the body.

Yes: Pulpitis is extremely painfull. If the disease is not treated the pain will subside eventually. This means the root canal nerve died. Not that infection is cured. You will still need a root canal treatment otherwise you can loose your tooth.

RCT: Get root canal therapy for that tooth asap! the only thing you can do in the meantime is take some otc pain medication.
