Yes: Aortic dissection or aortic dissection surgery can irritate the phrenic nerve  which control the diaphragm. If it is irritated by the aneurysm or with the surgery it can result in a chronic cough. This should be brought to the surgeon's attention as a chronic cough could provoke additional injury to the aortic if it is severe enough.

Is cough gone?: A nissan fundoplication is a surgery that's been done for years to treat acid reflux; now, however, it's often done laparoscopically. Reflux can cause cough, hoarseness, wheezing, heartburn, etc. If your symptoms are better, know that even mild reflux can cause symptoms. If the cough persists, it's back to the drawing board. Asthma, sinus infections, and/or allergies are frequent reasons. Lgromko.

Determine cause: Chronic cough is most commonly due to 3 conditions: asthma, post-nasal drip, or GERD (heartburn). You might have one or a combination of all three. Post-viral cough is also very common and can last for weeks. Further workup by Allergist is helpful as they can perform a more detailed assessment including skin testing, pulmonary function testing, etc. Treatment will depend on cause.

If ones you can feel then may be related. So ask your Dr to investigate the cause of your cough. A common cause is  what is called an ACE cough if you are taking an ACE inhibitor.

There are doctor's bills for office visits, the actual surgery, and hospital visits if he charges separately for hospital care days (presuming one has to stay in the hospital). Hospital bills are hard to predict, and there are separate bills for lots of different items such as labs, meds, x-rays, etc... And also anesthesiologists, radiologists, pathologists.
