Maybe: These symptoms might be gerd but, depending on your age and risk factors, need eval by a physician to ensure that this is not related to your heart. Also, there are other causes of dysphagia (difficulty swallowing) such as esophageal strictures that may need further treatment. You can start by taking a medication like Pepcid (famotidine) over the counter x 2 weeks but if you have chest pain, see a doctor.

: If you supervise constantly, the foods to avoid would be grapes, hotdogs (unless cut in half and then in small pieces) and hard candy (called "choking candies" by my son)  Finger foods such as O shaped oat cereal, string beans cooked soft, fruit cut in small pieces, meatballs.  I'm guessing you have been feeding her soft, pureed foods from a spoon, yogurt, eggs.    Good luck and best wishes.

Irritation: Spices like pepper and hot chilis cause irritation which can make you sneeze and cough. I suspect you are having a mild case of layrngeospasm which the cold food. I am mildly concerned about this becuase if you had a severe reaction it could be serious. Perhaps an ENT doctor could help you figure this problem out.
