See your doctor: Your throat or "esophagus" is located behind your windpipe or "trachea".  Therefore, it would be highly unusual to experience throat pain after being physically choked.  Suspect your pain is musculoskeletal in nature.

Some causes: Waking  up, choking, and gasping for air is  typical of sleep apnea.Sleep apnea is when breathing stops temporarily, for up to a minute at a time, during sleep. Sleep study  monitor breathing, heart rate, oxygen level, eye movement and brain waves while sleep in a sleep lab. Reflux can come all the way up into the mouth and nose from stomach and cause choking from aspiration. Diagnostic studies.

we have  a child thats 9 and she has downs she got choked a week ago and want eat we have tryed everything we can think of we took her to the hospita and they diddnt find anything any suggestion on how we can get her to eat

Children : Children with Down syndrome have issues of low muscle tone which can affect their ability to chew and swallow foods effectively.  If she recently had an episode of choking on food, this very well may have shaken her confidence, making her feel scared to try certain foods at this point.
The best strategy at this point is probably to have her seen by her pediatrician and likely a pediatric speech therapist who can help guide you in getting her back on the road to safe and effective eating.  The assessment would likely include a careful assessment of her swallowing skills and recommendations as to where she can safely and confidently begin.  Recommendations may be made such as for thickening of liquids or keeping solid foods to certain consistencies to make it easier to swallow them.
The most important point is not to force feed the child as this will end up having the reverse effect of making her feel less safe and more fearful of eating.

Spasm: If you are able to get on your computer to type this question, then I don't think your having cricopharyngeal spasm will be much of a problem. You need to contact your friendly police department ASAP about your being choked by someone(if that is what happened).

Yes it does: Being choked often can defiantly cause permanent damage, including death. If you are in a situation where someone is doing this to you, then leave now! seek help from your local police or clergy. No one who truly loves you would ever seek to hurt you in this manner, no excuses.

Trauma?: You might be experiencing the effects of sexual abuse or trauma. I suggest you talk with a therapist to explore non-judgmentally what might be behind your desire to be abused while having sex.

Difficult: It is unusual to die from choking on food. Chew thorougly, and relax when you eat! Risk of this happening to you is very small.

Difficult swallowing: Is it with all types of foods or with certain foods?  Is it with liquids?  Are you taking any medications?  Do you feel food gets stuck in your throat?  I would suggest an assessment by GI.

Sleep Apnea: is a condition of cessation of breathing during sleep that lasts for 10 seconds or longer and gasping for air. See a sleep specialist for evaluation, sleep study and treatment.
