Tests not perfect: Unclear question. I think you mean you had chlamydia (symptoms and/or positive test) but your partner had a negative test. Chlamydia can clear on its own before treatment, and tests miss some infections. Even with negative test, both partners need treatment at the same time before resuming sex. If this didn't happen, retreatment may be necessary. Discuss with your doctor(s). Best wishes.

Here are some ...: Penicillin is the only proven Rx although Doxycycline 100 mg orally twice x 14 days has been an alternate Rx. To assure the effectiveness of treatment, still do nontreponemal tests (RPR, VDRL) timely as follow-up. More detail? Ask your treating Doc timely.

Not necessarily: The germs themselves  may be dead but irritated tissues caused during the infection may not be healed. The mechanics of sex may also bring out some remaining irritation. If symptoms persists seek a re-evaluation. You can also have another issue not treated by the med for chlamydia.

i had sex with a girl so i went to the doctor 2 hours later to get tested gave them a urine sample and they put me on doxy the same day. i came back positive 2 days later for chlamydia. and sex on the 5th treatment day did i pass it to another girl?

: Probably you did not catch chlamydia during the exposure mentioned; two hours is much too soon for the test to be positive. Conceivably, your positive result was because your urethra contained a small amount o your partner's vaginal fluid, but more likely you were infected previously. However, 5 days of doxycycline probably is sufficient to prevent infection to your next partner.

Frustrating!: Chlamydia may cause minimal symptoms. One possibility is that it was present before the protected sex. Also possible for condoms to break.
