2 weeks: The Tetracycline is used against Chlamydia, generally for 2 weeks( there is no set period). However as far as pain is concerned in the urethra one can prescribe Pyridium (phenazopyridine) 100 mg Po three times a day for five days.please remember that when a patient contracts one sexually transmitted disease, there is great chance that he has others.severe urethral pain with discharge may indicate gonorrhea.

    abdominal pain
    abnormal vaginal discharge
    bleeding between menstrual periods
    low-grade fever
    painful intercourse
    pain or a burning feeling while urinating
    swelling inside the vagina or around the anus
    the urge to urinate more than usual
    vaginal bleeding after intercourse
    a yellowish discharge.

Chlamydia is often a: “silent” disease – this means the person isn't experiencing symptoms. Chlamydia symptoms in women may include: spotting, painful sexual intercourse, pain w urination, vaginal discharge (milky or yellow mucus), lower abdominal pain, nausea &amp; fever. Chlamydia in men may cause burning or pain w urinating, irritation at penis opening, discharge, groin pain w swelling &amp; testicular swelling /pain.

Chlamydia: No, use of antibiotics to attempt eradication of this STD will not relieve the pain, which is due to the inflammation induced by the infection. There are OTC analgesics (pain relievers) such as aspirin, ibuprofen and other NSAIDS available and if these are not sufficient you can ask your doctor if there is anything else they would prescribe.

MEDS; THEN CONDOMS: Significance of negative tests uncertain without knowing type.
So: finish meds.
And: time to ask partner about any history of sexually related or urinary illnesses, 
and: use condoms. Prevention works best.

Not necessarily.: How long have you been trying for? If you have made a concerted effort to conceive  over at least a year long period - then being evaluated for fertility would be a good next step.

STD treatment: It's best to get your problems treated by the same physician, as they know what tests have been one, what did and did not come back positive and what treatment has been used. Gonorrhea treatment is not an emergency and is not appropriate for the emergency room. You should return to the doctor treating your chlamydia, let them know you are still having pain and see if you need further treatment.

residualinflamation: A possible cause is inflammation caused by the infection which may interfere with free blood circulation. Try taking a max dose of dose of an anti-inflammatory. If no better in a few days or suddenly worse you will need a testicular ultrasound and urology consult
