Just as not all medical doctors are the same, i find some chiropractors give much higher quality care than others. I prefer chiropractors who use more gentle styles like direct non-force, network and activator techniques. I am wary of those who advise long-term treatment.

As an orthopedist-: -I actually see no benefit for major orthopedic problems. 4 sore or acing back or other things of this sort may make you feel better but if left alone the will clear by themselves.

Often: Chiropractors are often helpful especially with musculoskeletal pain. Sometimes their treatments treat the cause, while other times just help the pain without medications. The cause of the pain is always a factor in what will/will not help. They have been around a long time and help many people.

No: Ganglion cysts are synovial cysts arising from a joint, most commonly the wrist, or tendon. Manipulation will have no effect on the ganglion. If symptomatic most typically requires surgery, occasionally will respond to aspiration. See a qualified hand surgeon.

Chiropractors: Simple answer is "NO". Chiropractors claim to "align" the spine which is debatable at best. They can relieve muscle tension through massage like maneuvers. It is never a good idea to have your neck "Cracked" as it can lead to some very serious complications.

Yes,but: generally speaking yes,most of them knows exactly when to do it, and when it is not a good idea.

Depends on what: Is causing the pinch. If it is just a mild disc bulge, then chiropractic manipulation has been shown to help. If it is a herniated disc, it depends on the degree and placement of the herniation. Many people have success with chiropractors, but make sure to have imaging and don't be shy about second opinion if it does not get better fast or if any symptoms change for the worse.

Chiropractic injury: Seek advice from your regular medical doctor, or walk in clinic if you don't have a primary physician. Thankfully, most problems from chiropractic care are self limited and resolve. Be concerned about any increased pain, numbness, tingling, weakness, or difficulty walking or using your hands.
