Not easy answer : Treat underlying condition if possible.  Systolic vs diastolic can be determined by echocardiogram.  Then appropriate interventions & medications are undertaken.  Talk to a cardiologist.

Diuretic use: Low potassium in a patient with CHF is most commonly due to diuretic use. Treatment options under a doctor's supervision include the use of ace inhibitors or ace blockers which are useful in CHF and can raise potassium, or increasing the dose of the spirinolactone, triampterine or potassium. Magnesium should be checked as well.

Need more eval: Sounds like you may have another cause of low potassium. Not sure if ur on other potassium-losing diuretics, but you're on at least some that are potassium-sparing.  There are some other problems that can lead to potassium loss (ex. Some kidney & adrenal problems), that can also lead to hypertension and other problems. Probably should have some additional testing by your doctor.

Yes.: Newer and better than what?  The standard of care for af is anticoagulation and rate control with consideration of ablation in select pt.  Anticoag can be done with standard Coumadin (warfarin) or one of the newer direct agents. Rate control coudl be done with any one of a number of agents some of which are "newer" hf is treated with diuretics, ace inhibitor, judicious beta block, BP control.

i just did a levabuterol .treatment and a bude sonide treatment with my nebulizer . and mheart rate is 89. is this okay?  i take metoprolol  for chf.

Treatment: The ep will likely discuss a blood thinner with you and use medication to restore normal rhythm. If it fails, ablation may be discussed. If you haven't had an echo recently , it will be repeated. Blood work and thyroid studies are usual.

CHF exacerbation: You are describing CHF getting worse. She needs seen at emergency room. The doc will do an x-ray of chest and may need to put her in hospital for IV diuresis or may just give her the in the emergency room and send her home on adjusted regimen.

1. : 1. Laying with 5-6 pillows underneath your back will help keep your airways open and ease the work of breathing. 
2 taking breathing treatments, like nebulizers will also help.
3. Use an incentive spirometer to practice taking deep breaths. This is a device that patient suck air from, stregthening the airway and lungs.
4. Avoid salt, as this causes water retention which is more work for your heart, 
5. Medication: there are some cardiac medication that target specific actions in the heart. To name a few: 
your doctor can consider prescribing a diuretic to decrease preload into the heart, decreases the workload of the heart. He can also prescribe a medicine to increase contractility and make the heart pump stronger, if your doctor deems this an appropriate treatment.
Talk to your doctor about these options, and also about choosing a diet and life style that can help increase the quality of your comfort.
