ER, IMMEDIATELY: Any symptoms of chest pain demand immediate evaluation at the emergency room.  Someone with chest pain should not drive themselves to the ER but should probably call 911.

prilosec helps chest pain. still lingering pain in certain positions. can press kinda hard on chest &feel the pain too. hurts w/push-ups. costo? gerd?

Since you are: on Prilosec it is more likely that your symptoms of pain with pressure or push ups is due to the inflammation of your sternal cartilages ("costochondritis")

See Your Doctor: While this does not sound like a heart attack, blood clot in the lung, tear of the aorta or collapsed lung, it is worth a visit to your doctor.  Probably a musculoskeletal problem and can be managed conservatively.  Any shortness of breath?  If you develop other symptoms and it occurs without your having to lay in certain positions, consider a visit to the ER.  Liver/spleen disease?  See your doc!

MSK: Sounds muscularskeletal. Take it easy and try some nsaids. If not getting better call pcp.

Atypical or non card: The fact that u can bring the CP with positions speak strongly against cardiac cp. Likely musculoskeletal or referred pain.

Bone pains?: Posture related pains are usually due to abnormal joints or skeletal system.
 
I would pay attebtion to the curvature of the spine. 

Seeing a physiotherapist may be of help.

Visit your MD: Chest pain is a common entity. If you feel substorms like chest pain that lasts for over a minute, you should visit your doctor. You need a complete exam and you need to tell your doctor your medical history , family and social history , and medications. Good luck.
