Chest&throat pain: Sudden chest and throat pain can be from heart condition like angina pectoris, myocardial infection if it is on left side mainly.Other causes are acid reflux/esophagitis, acte respiratory infection
see your doc asap or go to er.

Chest Pain, See GP: is always a symptom that you should discuss with your GP to try to establish the cause. There are many causes of chest pain.

Throat pain: This may be due the particular agent causing the infection and irritating the tissues in the areas you describe, or related to post-nasal drip irritating things or you may have an unrelated problem with acid reflux or other issues.  If it persists, see a doctor. Good luck.

Viral infection: Sounds like viral upper respiratory infection which can result in bronchitis, nasal congestion, and sore throat. Sometimes vomiting and diarrhea can also occur. The bumps are reflections of reaction to infection in back of throat. Sometimes get superimposed bacterial infection. You can always consult physician for examination to make sure of correct diagnosis.

Hard to guess: Throat pain can be from strep throat infection (antibiotics are needed), a cold or influenza (antibiotics usually not used), or from some other cause such as allergies or irritants. Usually, one sees a doctor if the sore throat is bothersome, recurrent, or doesn't go away quickly (mainly to see about antibiotics). Lots of coughing makes it less likely to be strep throat. Best to rest a few days.

Tight chest/ throat : Most cough with sore throat for few days are viral. Tight chest could mean asthma or bronchospasm or simply chest pain because of coughing , so i would suggest you to see a dr. If you are asthmatic you need to use your bronchodilators. The decision to use or not antibiotics is up the treating physician when there is a question for  bacterial infections.

Persistent cough: See your doctor to rule out pneumonia. Pain in throat and chest are related to your severe coughing.
