Yes: " charley horses" can occur in almost all major muscle groups including the adductors (inner muscles) on your thigh .If your pain/ spasm persist despite rest/ nsaids then see your primary care physician  ... Be certain that its a muscle 'cramp' and nothing more serious. Good luck!

Low calcium: This can be many things, but low calcium intake and/or low but D is most common in girls your age. If you are very active physically, it can be due to muscle fatigue, or sitting in a way that cuts off blood flow to your lower legs. Obesity when extreme can cause cramping, but almost always because of compressive issues. Start taking a calcium/ vitamin D chew daily, see your GP for a checkup ASAP

Prevention-Magnesium: Leg cramps are usually due to a magnesium deficiency. I would suggest 400 mg of either magnesium aspartate, magnesium citrate, magnesium glycinate, magnesium maleate or magnesium taurate to relieve this problem. Do not waste your time with other forms of magnesium. These are available over the counter. If you take too much magnesium, you will get diarrhea.

so for two months i been having leg pain it started a few days after i caught a charley horse in my hamstring. after that i would only feel the pain in the back of my thigh hamstring area. but now its there and down into my calf.  what could this be?

: Although your symptoms may still be muscular I recommend consulting a physician or vascular surgeon to check for any evidence of phlebitis or a Baker's cyst.. An ultrasound study will most likely be ordered as part of the evaluation.

Get to the ER: You don't say why you are on prednisone.  You could have a new compression fracture in your spine.   Your electrolytes could be off. Not being able to stand up is a bit of a deal breaker and makes this an emergency.

Yes, muscle injury!: There can be some muscle damage after a bad muscle spasm, which will require 1-2 days to recover.  Prevent these muscle spasms by taking magnesium on a daily basis.  These products are available over the counter.
