i have been using epiduo for the past year. even though the acne has subsided i still have many scars and acne flare ups on a daily basis.
i still use epiduo, cetaphil face was and cream.
still very little improvement?

Other options: There are other options of treatment, if your current treatment is suboptimal.  Oral antibiotics and Roaccutane is two good options as well as add on Contraceptive Pil for Females.

Homemade: shea butter (whipped), rosehipseed oil, and vit Emixed together make an awesome chemical free moisturizer that is great for acne rone skin.

my acne products cause my skin to peel and dry, but i've got combination oily and dry skin. i don't want to use a cream moisturizer, what should i do?

Consider squalane: Some patients report that they like pure squalane encircled should be applied in a very small quantity. Make.Sure you exfoliate to remove old dead dry layers of skin.

Sensitive skin: try using virgin coconut oil as a moisturizer. Also there hypoallergenic products that might also help

Acne scars: Depends on what they look like, how deep they are and how big an area you are talking about. Subtle treatments include microdermabrasion and chemical peels. More aggressive treatments can be done with Erbium or fractionated CO2 lasers. Sometimes, ice pick, deep scars can benefit from cutaneous fillers like Radiesse or  Juvederm . See an ENT facial plastic surgeon or general plastic surgeon.

Get a real Rx: This is unlikely to touch the deep-living bacteria that are part of the cause of acne. If topical benzoyl peroxide has not cleared you in two weeks, please get with your personal physician. We can manage all acne scientifically, and it's your right to have the benefits.

Stronger stuff: The former has salicylic acid which is an okay first-line treatment for acne. The latter is a skin-care product and if you have acne, you're urged to use benzoyl peroxide with it. You decide. If you're not clear in two weeks, get with your personal physician.

No it will not: Cetaphil lotion is a moisturizing lotion for dry skin and will not help acne.You need benzyl peroxide, with antibiotic local or oral and may need retinoids locally.

Accepted Answer

It is soap: Cetaphil does nothing for acne but it is as safe as any soap would be to use.  Speak with your doctor about using other types of washes for your acne.
