Your question?: I appreciate your sharing this, but no one here will be able to make the call. Unless your HCG is extremely high, it means nothing. The other labs are not helpful. Your periampullary lesion has hopefully been biopsied, as will your liver lesions if the radiologist cannot certify them as benign. Hoping celiac sprue has been ruled in or out, along with whipple's and common lactose intolerance.

Need more info: If you were having abdominal pain prompting the ultrasound, it could be "sludge" obstructing the common bile duct. This may not be seen as a stone on the ultrasound but may cause the same type of blockage. You need an MRCP (MRI of the biliary tree) to evaluate the common bile duct.  If this shows a blockage you will need ERCP (a procedure done by a gastroenterologist) to clear the stones or sludge

: An "ERCP" showing "clear common bile duct (CBD)" is usually consistent with lack of obstruction.

: CBD will not interact with Gadolinium.

: Tests usually positive within 2-3 weeks after chancre onset. Usually not transmissible pre-chancre, but it can happen, and ALL sex partners of people with syphilis should be examined and treated, even if exposed only a day or two after catching the infection. CBD has no effect on test results. Sometimes no chancre ever develops and the blood test becomes positive within 8 wk of exposure.

: Medication should be managed by your Psychiatrist. It's a good idea to have a complete physical exam by your PCP to know if you have a physical illness that is causing symptoms. You could be helped by a Clinical Psychologist with expertise in multiple types of psychotherapy. If you are not confident in your Doctor please see another for a second opinion.
