Many things: : Can cause missed periods, including : pregnancy, thyroid dysfunction, delayed ovulation (disrupting the normal hormone cycling that is needed for menstrual period to start -ovarian cysts can sometimes do this as well), gaining or losing a lot of weight can disrupt normal menstrual cycles, certain types of contraceptives (mirena (levonorgestrel) iud, birth control pills), new stresses, or certain medications.

No: Shingles itself won't impact the onset of a period; however stress may be a common thread.  Stress is known to trigger a shingles outbreak and stress can delay a cycle starting.

That should not affe: Affect the period, if you are sex active then you should check a urine preg test, if - then please see your gyn for a workup.

Irregular ovulation: Irregular menstrual cycles come from not releasing eggs from ovary on a regular basis .  Sometimes there is no particular disease process and sometimes there is a problem like Polycystic ovary disease.

See your doc: It sounds like you are not ovulating regularly, which can be caused by many different conditions. You ob/gyn can help you figure this out and make a plan to regulate your cycles, or eliminate them entirely.

As : As doctors, anytime a fertile, sexually active woman has an abnormally light or missed period, the first thing we do is rule out pregnancy. You can either take another home pregnancy test as long as it has been 5- 6 weeks since your last normal period, or you can go see your doctor and they can test you. A home pregnancy test is 97% accurate if taken a week or more after the missed period, so another negative test would help confirm that you are not pregnant. A blood test can tell if you are pregnant as soon as 7 days after conception and a doctor's urine pregnancy test can tell if you are pregnant around when you next period should come.  Since your period is usually irregular, this makes it difficult to time fertility windows and know what a missed period means.  Since you had an infection the last time you had these symptoms, you should probably be checked by your doctor either way.  Good luck!

Quite a few causes: I would venture to say that most women missed at least a period or two during their reproductive years without known causes, so this could be normal. Many have irregular periods so missing here/there is normal. Thyroid disease, adrenal disease, pituitary problem (i.E prolactinoma), ovarian failure, infections, rapid wt loss, malnutrition, excessive exercises are few examples. Consult doc. Good luc.

Normal variation: To occasionally skip a period should not be particularly concerning.  The factors you mention are commonly asociated with irregular cycles.  Polycystis ovarian syndrome (pcos) is by far the most common reason for irregular cycles.

i am experiencing missed menstrual period that was supposed to arrive 4/6. did a blood and urine test they were negative, am i possibly pregnant?

Pregnancy: It is unlikely you are pregnant. But  you could have the test redone to be sure. But as long as the tests are reliable, I don't see a problem.  Also in urine pregnancy tests if it done too early it may not register as positive.
