Many causes: This slight elevation in the bilirubin level and liver enzyme (SGPT) is not specific and can be seen in response to drugs, somne infection  or even liver or gall bladder diseases, raging from early hepatitis, gall stones etc. It is non specific and needs further medical evaluation and follow up.

Bilirubin: This doesn't make sense. The total bilirubin is the combination of unconjugated and conjugated bilirubin. So, if the total bili is normal; then the conjugated has to be normal, as well. Please double check.

Decreased elimanatio: Elevated dierect bilirubin means there is  decreased elimaination of Bilirubin,   due to damage or disease.
Etiology may be inflamaton, infection,or obstruction of bile duct.

Predominant cause of high conjugated Bilirubin is Cholestasis  or Extra hepatic obstruction of biliary tract
Viruses, alcohol, autoimmune disorder , Drugs are some of thhe common culprits.

Depends: If your hyperbilirubinemia is due to an underlying problem such as cholestasis or liver disease (what are other liver values?), then those should be addressed. Some people have Gilberts which causes elevated bilirubin occasionally with no sequelae.
