Possible: Most common side effects include drowsiness, nausea, drop in blood pressure, and not unique to have headache and/or blurred vision.  Check bp, lying down and standing, should explain some of this.  Maybe use instead, Neupro (rotigotine) patch.

Yes: One of the side effects of this drug class is an impulse disorder, which includes gambling, increased sexuality and even antisocial activities.   The incidence varies from product to product, and one might be better than another.

Variable: Hello -- great question -- and you're basically asking about the difference between Neupro (rotigotine) ; requip.  The data i've seen shows that Neupro (rotigotine) had a 7-14% incidence of hallucinations in clinical trials.  This effect was dose-related, also.  Requip had 5% incidence of hallucinations.  Results may vary by individual too.  I'll refer this question to some neurology colleagues for input also.  Thanks.

my father has parkinson and one of his medications makes him gamble uncontrollably.he says he takes it to help him sleep,we tried to give him other different sleeping medications to try. he refuses. does the requip cause an extra high while gambling?

Dopamine: Please have your dad see his prescribing doctor.  Parkinson's drugs impact dopamine levels.  This can result in compulsive gambling or other compulsive, future-oriented behaviors (needing a "fix").  He may not want to give up this feeling but the doc will help and provide something else for sleep if appropriate and not an excuse to continue w/the med.  Peace and good health.

Mostly Lyrica (pregabalin): Weight gain is more common with Lyrica (pregabalin) or Pregabalin then with Requip or Neurontin. One can counter this side effect with a healthy diet and regular exercise. Discuss your treatment options with your doctor.

i have a constricting pain in my right foot. it feels as though it's in a vice and being squeezed. i take requip (ropinirole) for restless leg, could this pain be caused by the restless leg syndrome? it's hurts.

See below: I doubt it is restless leg since it is only involving one foot.  It could be arthritis, injury, or gout.  You may want to see a doctor for further evaluation.

Nausea, somnolence, dizziness, orthostatis hypotension, vominting, fatigue, acid reflux, edema are just a few... Thankfully, most likely you'll experience none of these, but just keep an eye out for changes after starting the therapy.
