Not reversible: For this inherited condition you can only protect the skin and eyes.  Use sunglasses, stay out of direct sunlight, use sunblock skin cream which you have to exposure yourself to the sun, use common sense.  There is no treatment to reverse the condition.

Don't be: I have had one in my practice for 17 yrs who is doing well and planning to go to medical school. You cannot predict the outcome of any infant in general terms but this label does not necessarily mean you have to think all is lost.
