has anyone had any success with taking kytril to reduce nausea?

Yes: Kytril has been used nausea induced chemo for the past 15 years. However, it is used in higher doses in europe. I used both Kytril and zofran (ondansetron) for chemo-induced nausea in the 90s and felt zofran (ondansetron) was superior, but the mechanism of action is the3 same.

Potentially: Kytril is a drug which is extremely effective and part of standard anti-nausea regimens- zofran (ondansetron) is a generic drug of the same class and anzemet and Aloxi are the other drugs in this class. If cost is an issue than generic zofran (ondansetron) can be tried.

Yes: Yea they can. Most heme/onc docs have their own combination.   The zofran (ondansetron) and dexa are often combined as is kytril and dexa.  There may be other add on therapy both before and after the treatments. Absolutely ask your physician  about this.

Indoor allergens: There is little that pollinates in the winter. If you are in the south you may experience mountain cedar pollinating then, but in the north there isn't really anything. So allergies in the winter tend to be caused by indoor allergens (pets, etc), or are not allergies but upper respiratory infections, or irritant responses to pollution, response to cold/dry air, etc.

Indoor allergies: Common indoor allergens include dust mite and animal dander.  Other less common indoor allergens are mold, cockroach, other pets (birds, rodents), and feathers (pillows, comforters).   During tree, grass or weed pollen season, pollen may blow through screens or open doors or windows, making it seem like indoor allergens.  An allergist can perform skin tests for these and have an answer in 20 min.

Depends: Crab allergy is a shellfish allergy and can develop at any time during adulthood.  Why some adults can consume crabs their entire life without any problems and others can go on to develop symptoms is unknown.  Shellfish allergy is a common adult allergen and symptoms can vary from one accidental exposure to the next so avoidance once symptoms develop is the best way to manage.
