Dulcolax and N&amp;V: Most patients do fine with with a single dose without and problems whatsoever.  However, there have been cases on record where Dulcolax has resulted in vomiting.  It's rare, but it can happen.

No: Dulcolax is generally safe even in fairly high doses, although it can cause diarrhea and electrolyte disturbances from that. I suppose if the diarrhea wasn't treated severe enough electrolyte imbalances could occur to cause a heart arrhythmia , but that's a stretch.

Dulcolax: Some of the most common potential side effects with Dulcolax are diarrhea, abdominal cramps/pain, indigestion, ^ gas, weakness, feeling dizzy, ^ thirst and nausea.  Dulcolax should not be used frequently/ long term - your body can become used to laxatives with resulting complications.

: It would better to adjust your diet rather than relying on a laxative. You may take a fiber laxative like Metamucil and drink enough water daily so that your urine is colorless. For the long term you may try to increase your intake of fiber foods. Consult this site for fiber foods.

Stop dulcolax now: If you are having diarrhea with dulcolax why are youstill taking them.Stop and see if you get a regular normal bowel movement without dulcolax.

No.: No connections. There's some other reason your period is late, and when your next period comes (or you find out you're pregnant) will you be able to figure out why. Most  likely, your rhythm is just off a little. Give it a few days.

OMG!: I'm sorry, but you're mistaken/misguided. If you're often using stimulant laxatives, I assume you feel very constipated, are attempting weight loss, or are looking to "cleanse." Please reconsider &amp; check out numerous healthtap answers that point to problems with colon cleansers &amp; irritant laxatives, particularly when used casually &amp; frequently. Save your health, and stop please!

Probably, since...: Dulcolax (bisacodyl) is a stimulant laxative that works by increasing movement of intestines, helping stool to come out, assuming normal GI anatomy without inflammation, stenosis, extrinsic or instrinsic obstruction. Cramping would be a common side effect, but if persistent please seek evaluation.

hi, i recently had surgery - pain meds caused constipation. for relief, i used dulcolax overnight relief. 15 hours later still cramping and very nauseated and orange diarrhea - do i need to be concerned?

Yes: If you having pain, nausea and diarrhea may be concerning. Did you have fever too? If yes and persists, please call your surgeon.
