By one of two means:: Chronic pain, debilitation ; lack of function can lead to a major depressive episode. Some chronic diseases can have depression as one of their symptoms. If you think you could be suffering from depression - please get help.

Sequence of events, which your dr can help clarify with some studies (eg: osa, or hypothyroidism, etc, etc might be (at least partially) responsible for fatigue/overweight-gerd/ anxiety, depression/resp.. If you : are very sensitive to the hormones in the ring, yes this could be a cause,  medication to help depression may help until you adjust to the hormones. Other forms of hormonal birth control my cause the same or worse symptoms in some cases. Let your doctor know.

Thyroid, Depression: The thyroid gland requires an adequate supply of iodine to function normally. If there is a lack of iodine (which is unusual in the us), or if there is a problem with the functioning of the thyroid, then it is not uncommon for people to have some of the symptoms of depression. Technically, this is not diagnosed as depression; instead, it is called "depression secondary to thyroid insufficiency".

Hormones?: A gastroenterologist can help you with your stomach acid levels.  The other issues you mention are best dealt w/by a clinical psychologist and/or psychiatrist.  Your doc can check your hormone levels to help with sexuality.  Peace and good health.

aside from stilnox i'm also taking sertraline for chronic depression. could it be the reason why stilnox does not work for me sometimes?

Suboptimal response: This may suggest that your primary symptoms are sub-optimally responding, meaning you still have significant residual symptoms. Suggest discuss with your psychiatrist to asses any of that and move on accordingly.

can i take singulair and antihistamine with citalopram every day, together? need it for chronic rhinitis and the depression it's caused.

Yes you can: Good that you asked, always be cautious with multiple medications, as for depression caused by rhinitis !!! You may need to see an allergist / ENT , or seek a second opniion, it's your right, good luck

Yes plus: Anxiety our depression can contribute to some of these symptoms.  See a psychologist to evaluate the sources of your distress and work on anxiety and depression.   Self help relaxation, yoga and tau chi can be helpful.
