Unlikely?  Possibly?: Hpv is presumed to survive a short time outside the infected person, so if a swimsuit comes off an infected person and goes immediately onto a second person, it makes sense that the second person can catch the hpv. If a swimsuit goes in the washer/dryer before the second person wears it, the second person is safe.  If a swimsuit isn't washed but just hung up to dry, possibly hpv lives hours? Days?

No: Hpv is sexually transmitted. Causal contact, including sharing towels or taking baths does not transmit hpv.

No risk: No -- there is no chance of acquiring an STD. It wouldn't be a risk even if the bathing suit were set and you weren't wearing underwear. They call them STDs for a reason: they are not transmitted without sex!

Possible : You have active infection and touch the infected parts and then touch your child without washing hands, it is possible to transmit the infection.  It would be prudent to have your daughter vaccinated against hpv when she turns 11-13 years old.

No risk: The genital HPV types are not transmitted by nonsexual contact. Household contacts never get it despite years of sharing kitchens, bathrooms, clothing, towels, eating and drinking utensils, etc -- and not by bathing together. Your daughter is not at risk in the slightest. Don&#x27;t worry about it.

Nope: No risk, even if the clothes were tried on by someone with a genital HPV infection. Genital HPV infection is only acquired by sex with an infected person.

Very unlikely: Transmission of hpv geneally requires close physical contact.

Not the same: Of the many dozens of hpv strains, two strains are known to cause genital warts, 7+ strains that are associated with cervical cancer and  far more strains not associated at this time with anything. Therefore, you can have hpv  without having genital warts.

Unlikely: There are many strains of HPV and some affect non-genital skin preferentially. In all likelihood you cleared the HPV virus from your body long time ago and are not contagious.
