Are you sure?: Are you sure it is eczema??? Eczema elsewhere? If so, what treatment for it? No eczema treatment will hurt your hair. Use something in the shower which is good for dry skin. There are many. Body wash (Dove, Aveeno, (oatmeal) Eucerin, Cetaphil) can be used in the shower for scalp +face as well as the body. Look for a liquid cortisone. If this is not satisfactory, see a dermatologist.

my chronic scalp foliculitis  was gone away after h-pylori triple drug therapy. i was without it first time in years for about 2 months or so. but it is back again. what does this tell about underlying cause of it?

Scalp folliculitis: That is interesting  Has you H pylori  recurred? ( can do breath test)  Would consider assessment by allergist regarding food allergies as that may be what is predisposing to H pylori  and  causing scalp folliculitis versus scalp eczema

Psoriasis help: The simplest treatment of psoriasis is daily sun exposure (but avoid sunburn!), salt water compresses, stress reduction, and daily moisturizers such as petroleum jelly.  Application immediately after a bath or shower helps to minimize itching and tenderness.  If these don't help enough, your doctor can prescribe other treatments.  Feel better!

Creams at pharmacy: Ringworm is actually a fungal infection (not a worm) of the skin.  You can treat it with over the counter antifungals such as Clotrimazole cream (and there are many others).  Clean the area, dry it and then apply the cream several times per day.  If it persists longer than about 2 weeks, you might want to see a dermatologist for alternative applications.

Persistent treatment: Medicated shampoo containing clobetasol ( steroid) , salicylic acid, keto conazole ( anti-fungal),blue algae &amp; zinc pyrithone.

Wash the shampoo after 10 minutes. OTC coal tar products &amp; shampoo also can  be used.

Take 4 capsules of omega 3 fish oil/day. Use coconut oil on the scalp 2 x daily.

Treatment would consist of Selsun shampoo or Sebulex, Ketoconazole shampoo, or Hydrocortisone.
