i have worsening urethritis on antibiotics, tests have shown c. albicans but no fluconocazole has been used. is it possible that i have a misdiagnosed candida auris? how would candida auris appear in tests?

Candida urethriits?: Candida albicans (and other candida species) is often carried in the genital area and isn't necessarily abnormal. However, there are no reports of C. auris genital infection. Candida is a rare cause of urethrits, but if your doctor is confident you have it, I see no reason not to try treatment with fluconazole. But don't worry about C. auris. Good luck.

Can try herbs too: Generally probiotics won't directly kill candida but will help to replace candida that have been killed by drugs or herbs. Many herbs kill candida like pau d'arco, garlic & oregano oil. If this doesn't help you can ask a doc to prescribe antifungal meds. A low-starch diet is also important. See
