after a long stint with antibiotics, i developed what i think is candida/yeast hypersensitivity because i had a brief oral thrush incident, i tested positive for candida ige, and my ears are chronically stuffy. have you heard of this happening?

: The use of antibiotics may lead to an imbalance of gut Flora and thrush may also occur. Taking a probiotic with antibiotics may be prescribed by your physician. Have an ear examination, remove wax as indicated with an over the counter rinse.

how should a doctor proceed with such results?

Treatment: Was the fluid from aspiration of material behind the ear drum or from the canal?
The results indicate staph bacteria, rare unidentified gram negative rods and a fungus. 
A topical treatment for canal infections and an oral antibiotic is advised for the middle ear infection. Please provide additional details.

i think i have athletes foot in my nose and ear and eye areas. i've tried to get rid of it on my feet but maybe it's too aggressive to be it. candida?

Yes could be: Both are forms of fungal/yeast infections.If this is truly fungal and so widespread see your dr.you may need oral meds after diagnosis.

See your doctor: We can't properly diagnose nor treat you over the internet. These types of situations require you to see your own physician for a proper diagnosis and appropriate treatment, if necessary. What you describe is not typical of oral fungal infections although you may have that in addition to a cold, etc. Call your doctor.

Hard to say: Candida and pinworms both can cause itchy anus(Pruitis Ani), but there are a number of other infections and dermatologic conditions that may be responsible. There is no way to tell from such limited information if all your symptoms are related to one disease(probably not.) Six Weeks: Although it is unlikely that you would have picked up HIV from what you have described, it takes about six weeks at the earliest for tests to determine if you picked up HIV from that exposure.  
While thrush can be a sign of hiv, i would not expect it to show that quickly after exposure.  It is possible that the other person had a yeast infection and you picked that up.

Infection : Infection is the most common problem in children.  Either middle or outer ear infections are extremely common. Adults most common problems are hearing loss or vertigo.

Tests: If the problem is hearing, we order a hearing test. If the problem is balance, there is an array of vestibular testing that we can order (vng or eng). These test can test if your balance disorder is due to your vestibular system or is it related to something else related to your brain. Also it can tell is which side you are the problem is on.
