: This is best assessed by his doctor. Kids who carry extra weight often seem to hide their genitals under the abundance. There are standards for size at different ages in the pre-pubertal male. If there is a problem it is best addressed before the onset of puberty.

Accepted Answer

Normal: Usually you need to apply vaseline around the circumcised area for about 5-7 days until the wound heals. Some yellowish crust or sometimes with a little yellowish moist mucus is normal as long as there is no worsening swelling and pain. It's just some body fluid plus urine that dry up.

is it normal for my 5 day old newborn circumcision to bleed a little bit around the edges of the penis ?

Accepted Answer

: I don't recall any of thousands done with the clamp method that blead later. The clamp crushes blood vessels and normal infants heal without this problem. The Plastibell  method sometimes has oozing when the ring separates. I would contact your pedi for guidance.

Penile cream: hello~ dont use anything stronger than 1% HYDROCORTISONE CREAM and combine it with an antifungal cream like clotrimazole if there is  a fungal infection as well. (usually is a mild fungal infection as well) thanks

how can i mitigate the side effects of applying aldara cream on the shaft of the penis? can i apply bepanthen, mebo or sudocrem  the day that i am not applying aldara?

Creams: It would seem that these soothing creams would be no problem to apply on those days, but I recommend asking your pharmacist to verify this as I have no experience with the use of Aldara which is used to remove warts.

got molluscum on male penis. removed w/ cryosurgery and bumps re-appear. applied mollenol and skin become reddish, swollen & itchy. can use sudocrem?

Relax: If you do nothing they will resolve without a trace. Using mollenol or zinc oxide is not likely to make any difference except that you will have felt like you did SOMETHING. If you are in a hurry go back to the Dr. Very light cryo is effective for molluscum but often requires several sessions. Deeper cryo to produce more violent reactions works in fewer treatments but may leave permanent white spo

Penile rash: Consult your pediatrician first and ask about simple remedies, or schedule an appointment to be certain. This may respond to "over the counter" medications.
