Psychosomatic: disorders can present in a number of ways.  Even conversion disorders may be difficult to distinguish from genuine physical pathology. In that situation careful medical evaluation to rule out medical causes - is often essential to make an accurate diagnosis. Sometime there are tip offs when  a person presents with findings that are non- physiologic (not consistent with any known mechanism).

Anxiety:  Other types of approaches have been suggested in response to your other posts. If you are finding that the current approach is not helping, inquire about use of a different type of treatment. If your provider only knows one kind - s/he might help to find a provider who is aquainted with other types of treatment.

i took low dose iron supplements for about a month, before realizing they were doing more harm to my body than good, as i'm not actually anemic. i'm a week off of them now and experiencing weird symptoms. are these withdrawals, or just psychosomatic?

: Iron supplements should not cause withdrawal symptoms and best for you, if experiencing any kind of symptoms,  would be to see your pediatrician or general practitioner for a detailed symptom review and exam as needed. That should offer you some clear answers and peace of mind.

Not sure.: Are you premenstrual or having your period? Are there new stressors/ triggers coming up? Are you touching on an anxiety inducing issue in therapy?  If you aren't in some form of talking therapy - strongly recommend that. Take care.
