Food: Some fruits contain chemicals that prevent the guaiac, the chemical in which the test paper is soaked, from reacting with the blood. Aspirin and some nsaids irritate the stomach, resulting in bleeding and should be avoided prior to the examination, along with red meat and many vegetables and fruits containing vitamin c. All of these factors could result in a false-positive test.

May not on its own: Try to make your stool soft by drinking more water and taking a fiber laxative like Metamucil. If that does not help, you may need to have the hemorrhoid treated by injection, banding or removal.

No: Multivitamins don't do that in the U.S.  But, if a person takes the kids' gummy vitamins, he can chew 4-6 of them each day to add up to an adult dose. Because they taste like candy, they are likely to make him want more candy, Gummy Bears, chocolate, or snack foods. This is not a nutritious way to do things, but is likely the only way any multivitamin can make a person want to eat something else

Several reasons: starting from the anus and rectum, all the way up to your mouth. Nature of blood: is it fresh, blood clots, dark stools, or black tarry stools? other symptoms as pain, urgency, spasms, etc. Better see your doctor for evaluation and referral to gastroenterologist if needed, most of time, it is something minor and would resolve, best wishes

 and false + and - results.

Not normal, get help: Blood in stool is a warning sign. Brisk bleeding warrants emergency care. Causes of bleeding may be predictable (e.G rectal trauma), but evaluation is always appropriate. A rule of thumb (but not absolute): black stool means bleeding comes from upper GI tract; grape jelly stool from small bowel; silver stool from biliary tree; burgundy stool from right colon; red blood from left colon to anus.
