I : I don't know of an interaction between marijuana and antibiotics like metronidazole, but then again since marijuana is not a legal drug it has not been tested like those that are. Therefore, it is not possible to say with certainty that smoking it will not decrease the effect of the other medication.

No: You should not smoke with or without being on metronidazole. Do not drink either.
For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form.  Drink enough water daily so that your urine is mostly colorless.
Practice safe sex.

No information: Nothing published on interaction between marijuana and metronidazole, but one SHOULD not affect the other.  If you’re very concerned, why not simply stop the marijuana for the 7 or 10 days that your taking the metronidazole?
