Not transmitted by: Sex.  Malaria is not transmitted through sex. Presence of antibody may provide partial immunity to infection.

Possible: Did your sexual partner have herpes?  If so, the symptoms you now have could be related. Local pain ; itching, plus fever, headache, malaise, myalgias, and tender lymph nodes are more usual than "tingling."   average incubation period after exposure is four days, but ranges from two to twelve days.  See your doctor -- viral cultures can be done on any visible sores.

See dermatologist: Would see competent and experienced dermatologist and repeat the hsv testing as well as get a bx of at least one type of new and active lesion on 1 or more body sites. There are various types of processing for a skin bx. Your doc should be familiar with them. A detailed hx and phys exam is also important. Although this might be nothing serious, you need to be evaluated soon.

if gf had hep b as a baby and is dormant now (not chronic) can i get it from her through sexual contact? i have received all 3 vaccine shots.

Probably safe: First of all, the vaccination should protect you, but nothing in life is 100%. Secondly, as long as her hep b antigen and viral dna tests are negative, then she's not contagious.

MD or clinic: There are travel medical clinics in my area, and they provide all the necessary inoculations needed, but call your md first and see if they can provide for your needs.

i was treated for trich, i havnt had any sexual contact, but im worried it didn't clear.should i get retested?

Yes: Trichomonas is a sexually transmitted disease. It is rarely transmitted by moist cloths, and 25-44% of women will have no symptoms. If you are still having symptoms, you should see your family practice physician. It important to be treated for this disease, but also to have your sexual partners treated.

No: Lyme disease is not contagious at all. Please be skeptical about the diagnosis. There is a lot of medical literature showing that it is over-diagnosed. Blood tests for it can often be falsely positive, or misinterpreted. Many people claim to be Lyme disease experts. I would trust only a board-certified infectious disease specialist at an academic center to make the rare diagnosis of Lyme in brain.

Wrestling: There is something called herpes gladiotorum that has ruined wrestling seasons because all of the wrestlers get it on their body typically starting from 1 person's mouth.  Contact is how you get herpes, i know of no other way.
