Very unlikely: If it's the same virus, you should have created an immune response to it, that will protect you from this 'strain'. If, however, it's a different virus- then you may not be protected. Hopefully you're doing all the right things like RESTING, eating right (chicken soup is good), avoiding smoking or any toxic habits and giving your body what it needs to recover. Kids: The correct thing to do is to let the teachers know what is happening with your kids and then take the kids to the doctor.
I applaud you for knowing that the kids should not be in  school with the flu.

: Colds are still transmitted by viruses, similar to how flu is transmitted. Cold like symptoms may be due to non infectious conditions among which allergies are notorious.

No: It's too late to get the flu shot if you already had the flu, not if you or people close to you are "already sick."  too many people think getting a flu shot is supposed to stop you from getting sick.  It does, but it only stops you from getting sick with the flu, and nothing else.  There are many, many illnesses, and the flu shot protects you from the flu.

Influenza: It usually takes about two weeks for the Flu shot to provide you with protection.  But antivirals (Tamiflu, Relenza, (zanamivir) Flumadine) may be prescribed within the first couple of days of symptoms to hasten healing or they can be used after flu exposure to prevent illness.

Wash your hands: Although showering may provide some benefits, you get flu by inhaling the virus or planting it in your mouth from contaminated fingers. Frequent hand washing is one of the best methods of self protection against disease. Shedding your clothing &amp; washing up may help if you were heavily exposed, but I wouldn't ignore the obvious.

Yes! However...: First, the flu shot really doesn't work that well! it's certainly possible to get the flu after getting a flu shot- it offers partial protection against 3 strains but there are many strains ; it may even increase risk of getting other strains! see http://bit.Ly/15y6igv
however, you may not have influenza- even when doctors diagnose someone with influenza, most of the time they have a diff. Virus!

Dental problem:  Actually if you have severe pain or signs of infection - would call dentists offic. They usually have a way to get through to the dentist for emergencies.

PROBABLY NEED EXAM: It will be very difficult to understand what is happening with you without seeing a doctor that can exam you. You need to get BP checked and this you can do on your own. You need to make sure that you are eating healthy and sleeping and also hydrate. If you are from the USA you could try the Little Clinic at Kroger.
